Jack was the precious son of Joseph and Samantha (Gumm) Giroux. He was born July 29, 2014 in Bloomington, IL.
Jack attended Milestones Early Learning Center and received therapies through Easter Seals. Both of which aided him in unlocking his true potential. Earlier this year, Jack was diagnosed with the rare genetic condition, CHARGE Syndrome.
Jack was so vibrant and full of life. He had a spunky energy that filled a room. He was determined and ornery and silly and smart. Jack adored his family and his dog, Stella. He loved to run and climb and slide. He was fearless. He enjoyed Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, mini muffins, and being outside. He played with blocks and balls and cars and shoulder-length brunette hair. He loved shoes: wearing shoes, putting on shoes, throwing shoes, hiding shoes. Jack was as happy as he was beautiful. He was an incredible soul.
Jack is cherished by his parents; his siblings, Caleb and Josie Giroux; his grandparents, James and Gina Gumm, Randy and Linda Zimmerman, and Ray Giroux; his great-grandparents, John and Delores Erickson, George “Bud” and Sue Able, and Ruth Giroux; his aunts and uncles, Darbie (Jeff) Giroux, Carrie (Dave) Johansen, Jennifer Giroux, Josh (Megan) Giroux, Ray (Rachel) Giroux, Tyler Gumm, and Dana Gumm; and so many adoring cousins and great-aunts and uncles that will miss him dearly. He will be greeted in heaven by his grandparents, Cindy Giroux, John “Jack” and Jane Gumm, Shirley Able, and Joe Giroux.
Visitation for Jack and his family will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home, 1102 Airport Road, Bloomington, Il.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:00 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
