Dorothy M Davis

Dorothy M. Davis, 81, of Blair House in Normal passed away at 4:26p.m. on Sunday October 17, 2010 at Manor Care Nursing Home in Normal, IL.

She was born August 13, 1929 in Weyerhaueser, WI, the daughter of Stanley B. and Caroline M. Mujwid Poplawski. She married Joseph Davis on November 29, 1952. He preceded her in death on August 15, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Dorothy is survived by three daughters; Nancy Perry, Carole (David) Torbeck and Kathryn (Cyro) Komorowski and three sons; Terry (Susan) Davis, Paul (Renata) Davis and John (Teresa) Davis. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, two brothers; Robert (Sylvia) Poplawski and Stanley (Lois) Poplawski and one sister; Carole (Donald) Zahorski.

She enjoyed a long career as the Personal Secretary to the Presiding Judge of the Cook County Juvenile Court in Chicago, IL before retiring in 1994.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00p.m. on Saturday October 23, 2010 at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington, IL. Visitation will take place two hours prior on Saturday October 23, 2010 also at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington, IL. Burial will take place immediately following Funeral Services.
