Darren Carti’er Edmonson, 33, received his wings on January 8, 2020. He was born July 17, 1986 in Chicago, IL, the youngest son of Schuyler L. Edmondson (Long) and Derrick Glenn Edmondson, Sr. both of Chicago. He attended Thornridge High School in Dolton, IL and eventually went on to complete his GED.
As a child, Darren was fun, loving, and filterless. He was an intelligent child who could talk you under the table and give you a run for your money! As a young adult, Darren came to face many challenges. While he struggled to figure out life, he never wanted to be defined only by his mistakes. He developed a passion for the art of food and could cook with the best of them! He was enrolled to begin culinary arts school in Chicago at Inspirations Kitchens on January 9, 2020. Darren was a son, a brother, a loving uncle, cousin, and friend to all who knew him.
Darren leaves to cherish his loving memory his mother Schuyler L. Edmondson (Long) and father Derrick Glenn Edmondson, Sr.; his paternal grandmother, Ernestine Edmondson; three siblings: Derrick Glenn Edmondson, Jr., Shanelle Holland (Edmondson) and Mallory Edmondson; three nieces: Kori Holland, Massiah Edmondson, and Rosalie Edmondson; four nephews: Derrick Glenn Edmondson, III, Kyson Shipp, Antonio Edmondson, and Micah Edmondson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and life-long friends.
