On March 16, 2012, Dale married the love of his life, Dionylou Dacayana, with whom he shared years of love and companionship.
Dale proudly served in the United States Navy and later worked as a skilled mechanic for many years. He was a devoted member of the VFW and American Legion, where he found camaraderie and purpose in supporting fellow veterans. A man of deep faith, Dale was also a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Bloomington, IL.
Dale will be remembered for his dedication to his country, his strong work ethic, and his unwavering faith. His kindness and devotion to his family and community will never be forgotten.
He leaves to cherish his memory, wife Lou Terven; children Dale (Cheree) Terven, Michelle (Danny Gillespie) Hebner, and Sophia Dacayana; grandchildren Elijah Riley, Anna Bloemker, Kaylie Terven, Jeremiah Terven, Rayden Terven, and Cameron Terven, Denise, and Gabriela Dacayana; brother David (Fuzzy) Terven; nephew Freeland McGuire.
Preceded by parents, one grandchild David Bloemker, brother Richard Terven.
Memorial visitation will be held March 26, 2025, 11:00 AM at East Lawn Funeral Home. Memorial service will be March 26, 2025,12:00 PM.
