Clara was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter Erica Edgington, a sister Wilma Meyer and a brother Wayne Coyle.
She spent most of her married life raising her children and farming side by side with her husband. She later began her career as a rural mail carrier.
Clara was a very devoted wife. She made delicious pies and readily shared her crust recipe with anyone that asked. For visitors that dropped by unexpectedly, Clara provided a full meal at the drop of a hat and no one left her home hungry. Many family members were given afghans that she lovingly crocheted. She tried her hand at painting and many pieces of her artwork are hanging in her children’s homes.
Clara’s memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington, with a visitation one hour prior to service at East Lawn Funeral Home. Burial to follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens.
