Clara May Greiner

Born October 21, 1918 in Montgomery Township, Woodford County, Il to Joseph J. and Mary Bell (Landers) Schmidt, she married John Christian Greiner on August 6, 1938. He preceded her in death in 1962.

Surviving are: daughter, Marilyn (Joseph) Long, Normal, IL; sons, Terry (Sonia) Greiner, Houston, TX and Allen (Monica) Greiner, Carnes, MS; sisters, Dorothy Schmidt, Chicago, IL Amelia (Mike) Tougher, Portland, OR, Carol Thomas and Edith (Don) Schneider of Bloomington, IL; brother, Raymond Schmidt, Fall Brook, CA; 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, John Christian Greiner Jr., 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Clara worked in accounting at Country Companies for 20 years, retiring in 1983.

Funeral Services will be conducted 11:30 am Thursday March 19, 2015 at East Lawn Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Pastor Andy Gifford will officiate, with interment in East Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to St. Luke Union Church or the American Cancer Society.
