Chuck “Courtney” Stillman, 50, of Bloomington, passed away at 2:55 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at OSF Saint Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.
He was born November 1, 1960 in Urbana, IL, son of Courtney Joseph “Jack” and Hattie Louise Mills Stillman.
Surviving are his mother, H. Louise Stillman of Bloomington; two sisters, Kathryn Sue Mackenzie of Bloomington and Anna Lorraine (Bill) Hetzler of Normal. Also surviving are two nieces, Tiffany L. and Trisha C. Hamblin; two nephews, Tarl C. and Travis L. Mackenzie and one great-nephew, Jack Gillespie. Chuck also leaves behind many great friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Stillman.
Chuck worked in lawn care and grounds maintenance, in golf courses, both in Florida and Illinois.
He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, camping and kayaking. He was an avid Miami Dolphin football fan. He also enjoyed his time when he was involved with coaching the Twin City Tigers Youth Football League in Bloomington.
Chuck was a loving son, brother, uncle and great-uncle and will also be greatly missed by his friends and their families.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment will follow services at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington.
