He was born February 20, 1933 to Mervin and Ersa Miller of the Farmer city area, graduating from Moore High School then serving in the U.S. Navy from 1952-1956. Charlie was employed most of his life in the trucking industry in Illinois and Indiana in various sales and managerial positions until 2011.
Charlie is survived by his wife Audrey of 41 years, a brother Oris of Farmer City and sister Atha Morgan of Amarillo, TX; six children; 14 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. His sons are Curtis of Farmer City; Rob (Janice) of Sherwood, AR; Kevin (Franci) of Bellflower and Thomas of Monticello; the daughters are Royce (Stan) of Eureka and Micki (Ken) of Secor. Both of Charlie’s parents preceded him in death as well as a nephew and niece.
Vintage Airplanes, boating, water skiing, golf, basketball and NASCAR were some of his favorite interests. He was an active member of Eastlake Baptist Church, Hobart, IN; while he was healthy, and a very meticulous, compassionate and gentle man who laughed easily. All of his family will sorely miss him.
Cremation and services have been entrusted to East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2018 at East Lawn Funeral Home.
