Betty Carol Campbell

She was born on April 2nd, 1934 to Alfred and Leona Zanto in Portage, WI.

She is survived by her children: Sheryl Monical of Bloomington, IL; Sally Taylor of Tampa, FL; Shelly Peden of Clinton, IL; Scott McDuffee of Bloomington, IL; and Susan (Jamie) Phelps of Bloomington, IL. She is survived by 8 grandchildren: Jennifer Entner, Misty Monical, Shannon DeSantis, William Clem, Chris Phelps, Jeremy Peden, Adam Peden, and Cory Phelps. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren: Jorden Monical, Bryce Entner, Alyssa Entner, Chyrissa DeSantis, Carinna DeSantis, Travis Entner, Braxtyn Peden, Aleigha Entner, Chloe Clem, Kennedy Phelps, Hunter Clem, Ainsley Phelps, and Ryleigh Peden.

Her surviving siblings are Ardyce (Larry) Fronk and Ross (Judy) Zanto.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; by her sister, Dolores Zanto; and by her daughter, Sandy Clem.

She began school attending a one-room school house in Dalton, WI before going on to attend Markesan High School.

Betty’s first career was with General Telephone and Electronics Corporation, she went on to have another full career with Midstate Podiatry.

She was a devoted Lutheran and a member of Faith Lutheran Church of McLean County. Her faith tied into one of her favorite things to do: singing in the choir at church.

She was completely devoted to her family, she loved cheering on her grandkids in whatever endeavor they took part in. She loved watching football, basketball, and baseball, especially her favorite teams: the St. Louis Cardinals, the Green Bay Packers, and the Fighting Illini.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 27th from 10am – 12pm at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington, IL with a funeral service following; burial will take place in East Lawn Memorial Gardens.
