Barbara Sue Shepherd

Barbara Sue (Back) Shepherd, 77, the daughter of Jacob and Hallie (Kyle) Back born on August 27, 1943 in Osceola, Arkansas passed away December 19th, 2020 at Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal. She resided at 101 Donnie Dr. Bloomington.

She married Danny L. Shepherd Sr. on January 30th 1961. He preceded her in death on December 4th, 2020. She is also preceded by two brothers, two sisters and one grandson.

She is survived by her children Troy Back of Bloomington, Danny (Cindy) Shepherd of Bloomington, Cynthia (Richard) Gerencher of New Lenox, and Brian Shepherd of Bloomington. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren as well as her sisters Jessie Hinshaw of Bloomington, Donna Davis of Joliet, Marion Davey of Bloomington.

She was employed by General Electric as an Assembler, she also worked at First Student Bus company as a bus monitor, also co-owner of Advanced Carpet Care.

She deeply loved her family, enjoyed camping, fishing, and karaoke. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held Monday December 28th, 2020 11:00a.m.-2:00p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington with a graveside service to immediately follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions this will be a walk-through visitation. Our chapel has implemented restrictions on how many guests are allowed in at one time. For this reason, we ask that no one sits in the chapel as it will take away from the number of guests we can allow in at a time to see the family.
