Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather Robert (Bob) Paul Bibbee passed away at the age of 82 on Thursday, November 7, 2013, at Loma Linda University Hospital in Loma Linda, California from complications during heart valve replacement surgery.
Bob was born November 29, 1930 in New Brighton, Pennsylvania. He married Betty Evelyn Jolliff on June 21, 1953, in Yuma Arizona. They had one son and recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Bob was the son of Frank Sylvester Bibbee and Mildred Evelyn Ruff, both born in Pennsylvania. He is survived by his sister and her husband Carol and Harry Elliott and their two children. His wife Betty, son Vincent, daughter-in-law Summer, five grandchildren, Kalah, Cassondra, Heather, Kristen, and Rachel, and seven great-grandchildren Seth, Justin, Zoey, Alexander, Chloe, Michael, and Haley. As well as all the many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He lived in Pennsylvania for 14 years, relocated to California with his parents and resided here for 68 years.
He attended New Brighton High School, Pennsylvania 1946 and Redlands High School, California, where he graduated in 1949. He attended San Bernardino Valley College in 1950.
He retired from Rohr Industries Inc., as a Leadman after 40 yrs. of service building airplanes.
Bob loved bowling, archery and fishing and was known for his ability to roller skate and dance on skates at an advanced level.
He cherished his hobbies in retirement which included fishing, teaching his grandchildren to fish, puzzles, finding special little gifts for loved ones, finding and restoring furniture and jewelry for resale.
We will always remember your funny ways, hard work ethic and strength of character, but most of all, we will miss your strength and honesty and your dedicated Love and support for your family.
All family and friends are welcome to join us at his memorial service to be held at Green Acres Memorial Park Chapel 11715 Cedar Ave. Bloomington, CA 92316, Friday, November 29, 2013 3pm.
