Reuben Edward Alves

Reuben Edward Alves was born on February 25, 1954, to Katherine Isalene Alves and Reuben Burrow Alves in Dixon, Kentucky. He sadly passed away on November 14, 2024, at the age of 70, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Reuben was preceded in death by his mother, father, and brother, William (Billy) Alves. One child of eleven children, Reuben is survived by three sisters, four children—Autumn Alves, Chancity Bryant, Trevor Alves, and Brittany Rodriguez—and five grandchildren, along with one great-grandchild.

He graduated from Bloomington High School in 1972 and held several occupations, the most notable being a mechanic, a role he cherished while working on vehicles for his children.

Reuben had a deep love for music, enjoying artists like Sam Cooke, the Rolling Stones, Little River Band, and Van Morrison. His vibrant personality and infectious laugh could light up any room.

Reuben will be laid to rest on December 5, 2024, at Green Acres Memorial Park Mortuary, located at 11715 Cedar Ave, Bloomington, CA, 92316.

Reuben's memory will always remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. We appreciate all the support during this difficult time, and we know Reuben was loved by many. Although the sadness of losing Reuben is overwhelming, we choose to celebrate the journey of his life.
