Good Lord, what can I say about Jon.  We have worked together for about 17 years at THMS and all that time he was just so much fun to be around, and his sense of humor was outstanding! He would often bring me things like Abba Zabas and pistachios or a new pen that wrote in different colors and I would in turn bring him oranges and lemons from my trees and Bit O Honey candy's which he loved just as much as my homemade brownies I would sometimes bring. 😊 
Jon was a good man and so very proud of his beautiful family, as he should be. We will meet again someday... I'm sure of it. Until then, keep them laughing in Heaven luv.

Your dad and I met during our senior year of high school while working at Grazianos Pizza. Your Dad, me, Drew Cates, and Gary Moreno all moved in together in a condo by Marigold & Sierra in Fontana right out of High school. We had some great times for the next two years.

Well what can I say about my dear friend Jon Owens. Last summer he took me out with my husband and taught me how to shoot my first gun. He had so many. I'll always remember that moment.
Also for those special people I was able to meet his "sister". I'll never forget the laughs we had when meeting her. 

Rest in peace my dear friend. You were a great dad, role model for your kids and friend for 36 years!

I’m going to miss your shit talking on my post, you were the only guy who could deal with my dry sense of humor and didn’t take my crap. 

You taught me how to shoot guns and kept up with me on my hiking, I respected you because you were a great teacher and awesome father to your kids. God Bless you and until we meet again…

This is my favorite picture of my uncle Jonathan and I.. he passed away on Wednesday night after fighting cancer for over a year... I miss him dearly, but am so glad he is no longer in any pain and he can now be with our heavenly father. I'm so glad that I got to speak to him on his last day and he recognized my voice.. I'm also very fortunate to have gotten closer to him throughout the past year. He was a great uncle, and an even greater father. Everyone who knew him loved him and he will forever be in our hearts ❤ I love you, Jon Owen.

Friend, even tho we haven’t stayed in touch… we had some  fun times, most memorable was bringing the girls to hang out at the beach  in Carlsbad and help Ada find seashells… I’m bummed she didn’t want to be in the picture… but hopefully she remembers it!! find us some seashells in Heaven!

I can’t believe it has been a week since Nicole and I were ready to hunker down and stay the night with you so you wouldn’t be alone. Walking in we had no idea how the night would take a turn and change so many lives forever. 

Jon, I love this picture because it reminds me of the cool, fit, older cousin I always looked up to. The one who exposed me to new music, challenged my nerdy, awkward self to be more athletic, and teased me whenever he had the chance.

This past week my brain has been foggy and my heart broken. I regret not staying in better touch after moving away and getting to witness what a great father you were up close. I feel so bad for your parents, kids, friends and students.

I appreciate you letting us share your final precious days like no time had passed. The thirty-six hours we had with you meant so much. Thank you for holding my hand until the end. This is all a bit easier knowing you were ready to go and that you are no longer in pain. Rest In Peace Jon. I love you❣️

I still can’t believe you are gone and yet, I know you are still here with us. I’m thankful to have known you with your silly jokes and your huge heart. I love what a caring and strong dad you were. I loved that you were this muscular tough guy with a such a sweet and soft  heart. I love that you let me call you JWO and you called me LML. Thank you for teaching me how  to shoot and how to be strong from within. Thank you for appreciating my singing and always encouraging me to be myself.
