Beatrice Ella Brooks

Beatrice Ella (Bea) Brooks went home to be with the Lord on June 2, 2013. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend!

Born and raised in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada on July 28, 1924, she married Charles H. Brooks of New Brunswick, Canada on June 9, 1943. They were married 57 years and they had three children.

Bea and Charles immigrated to the United States in 1949, moving to Pasadena, CA. before settling in Fontana in 1956. She worked as an elementary school secretary for 20 years before retiring in 1981. They moved to Yucaipa in 1997 to be closer to family. She was a member of Yucaipa Christian Church where she used her singing talents in the senior choir. She enjoyed spending time with her wonderful friends at YCC.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles, and her eldest son, Richard. She is survived by son Roger of Pomona and daughter Rosalind of Yucaipa and her husband Glen, as well as six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

To honor Bea's love of children, the family is requesting, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the "Youth Camp Scholarship Fund" at Solid Ground Christian Fellowship, P.O. Box 9256, Redlands, CA 92375.
