Arnold F. Sutherland

Arnold "Floyd" Sutherland passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Kaiser Hospital in Ontario, California at the age of 87. Floyd was born in Missouri and moved with his family to Colorado, where he spent his youth. Floyd enlisted in the US ARMY in 1946. He was stationed in Germany where he met and married his wife Dzidra. Together they moved to California where Floyd began working at the Kaiser Steel Mill in Fontana. He worked there 32 years. Floyd is predeceased by his wife of 61 years Dzidra, Father and Mother Joe and Eunice Sutherland, Brother Gene Sutherland, and his Son-in-law Bubba Lear. He is survived by his Daughter Ina Lear of Vidor, TX., Son Steve Sutherland (Cindy) of Fontana, CA., Daughters Julia Thompson (Lee) and Diana Covey (Joe) of Roanoke, VA., Sisters Wanda Bessire, Delvina Haun and Brother George Sutherland. Floyd had 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. Celebration of Floyds life will be held at Green Acres Memorial Chapel, in Bloomington on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 10:00am. Afterwards please join us at the home of Steve and Cindy for refreshments at 9353 Mango Ave. Fontana.
