Joseph Russo

He was born in Newark , lived in Belleville and Bloomfield for many years before moving to Lavallette 20 years ago. He worked as a master tin smith for many years before working for Continental Insurance Co in the maintenance dept.

Funeral services will be conducted by the Zarro Funeral Home, (www.zarrofuneralhome.net), 145 Harrison St., Bloomfield, on Monday, December 16th at 9:00 am followed by a mass at 10:30 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Belleville. Interment is at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 1-5 pm.

Joe is survived by his loving sisters, Ann Petronaci, Lucy Russo and Margaret Rogers; brother and sister-in-law, William and Mamie; loving and devoted niece to one of her favorite “Uncles” Tiffany. Also surviving are aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years, Louise (Pesci) Russo in March of this year. He dearly missed her and spoke often of reuniting with her. Louise was the love of his life. Also predeceased by his siblings, Dan, Sonny, his twin, Ben, Catherine Mancinelli, and Grace Tavormina.
