Joseph A. Policarpio Jr.,“ Pippy”, 94, passed away on March 12, 2012 at his home in Bloomfield. Funeral services will be conducted by the Zarro Funeral Home, (www.zarrofuneralhome.net), 145 Harrison St., Bloomfield, on Friday at 9:00am followed by a mass at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Bloomfield. The entombment will be at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.

Visitation will be on Thursday, from 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory would be appreciated to St. Barnabas Hospice, 95 Old Short Hills Rd., W. Orange, NJ 07052.

Pippy was born in Millburn, lived in W. Orange for many years before moving to Bloomfield 17 years ago. He served in the US Army during WW II. He was self employed as an auto mechanic in Millburn for many years.

He is survived by his devoted and loving son, Vincent Policarpio and his wife, Barbara; siblings, Julio and Vincent Policarpio and Margaret Werner; cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Andrea, Michael and Matthew. He was predeceased by his wife, Pia Maria ( nee Natalini); son, Joseph III; parents, Faustina and Joseph Policarpio Sr; and 3 siblings.
