Edward J. Fernandez-Saavedra, 63 of Kearny, passed away on Friday, February. 22, 2019. Born in Valparaiso, Chile, Edward came to the United States in 1969. He was a selfless, loving, hardworking man. Proud father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 2nd from 12 -4pm. A prayer service will be at 3:30pm. Arrangements from the Zarro Funeral Home (www.zarrofuneralhome.net), 145 Harrison St., Bloomfield. The cremation will be private. Edward is survived by his children; Jaime Fernandez and his wife Sameeda, Dana Cruz and her husband Joseph and Renee Fernandez. Cherished grandchildren; Sofia, Stella and Siena. Beloved sister; Maggie Nunez and her husband Mario along with nephews; Rory, Alex and niece Jennie and her husband Derrick, their children Andrew and Bryan.
