Anthony worked for Bamberger’s / Macy’s Dept. Store in Newark for 30 years as a chief electrician. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Italian American Clubs in Florida.
Funeral services will be conducted by the the Zarro Funeral Home, www.zarrofuneralhome.net). 145 Harrison Street, Bloomfield, NJ, on Saturday Sept. 20 at 8:15 am following a mass at 9:30am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Belleville. The burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, E. Hanover.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 19th from 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Anthony’s name to the American Diabetes Assoc. 19 School House Rd. Somerset, NJ 08873
Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Ann nee Milano , devoted children, Anthony Ferrentino and Andrea Durning and her husband, Pete ; daughter-in-law, Laura Ferrentino; cherished grandchildren, Peter and Kristin Durning and Anthony and Briana Ferrentino. He was also know as “Uncle Sonny” to his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great- great nieces and nephews, who will miss him dearly.
He was predeceased by his parents, Marianne and Antonio Ferrentino; siblings, Philip, Salvatore and Jennie Ferrentino, Susan Galioto, Mildred Scarano, Mary Torello, Margaret Mastriani and Irene Vicari.
