August 11, 1965. He was the youngest of 4 children to Lewis and Frieda White. He grew up in Mountain
Brook Alabama and attended Mountain Brook Schools and finished High School at Darlington School in
Rome, Ga in 1984. Later he attended UAB and then Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi where he
studied Engineering. As a young child, he loved to ride horses and competed in equestrian events. He
loved to snow ski, wind surf, sail, waterski, run and ride motorcycles. He was an accomplished Superbike
Racer and he competed in Professional Motorcycle Road racing into his 30’s with Cycle Motion Racing Team. Over the course of his career, he did draftsman work for White Fab, and later Orlando Steel. After that, he opened his own AnyTime Fitness Gym in Ocala, Florida where he lived for 5 years. He then moved back to Birmingham where he worked at Alabama Plate.
He is survived by his daughter Brooke White and her mother Cherie Patterson, along with his wife Jennifer McAlister White and her son Nick McAlister; sisters Karen McRee and Libby Hooker and 4 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Frieda White and older brother Lewis P. White Jr. In lieu of flowers, you may make donations to the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum.
The family will receive friends on Friday September 7, 2018 at 1:00pm at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel, 800 Dennison Ave SW, Birmingham, Al 35211. Funeral service will follow at 2:00. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
