William Phillip McDaniel of Pinson, Alabama passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at the age of 70. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Phillip retired from Royal Cup Coffee with more than 37 years of service. He served his country proudly in the Army National Guard for 6 years and was a faithful member of CrossPoint Baptist Church in Argo. Phillip loved his Alabama Crimson Tide football and enjoyed just being outdoors. This included playing golf, fishing, and hanging out with the “Bent Creek Mafia” golf cart gang every afternoon solving world problems, sharing stories, and some good beverages. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joan and William McDaniel. Mr. McDaniel is survived by his wife of 51 years, Deborah Hill McDaniel; a son, William Brad McDaniel (Dana); his daughter, Shelli McDaniel Adamson (D.J.); grandchildren, Brooklyn Shae McDaniel, Bryleigh Nell McDaniel, Bradley Nicole McDaniel, Grace Marie Adamson, and William Jackson “Jack” Adamson; a niece, Tonia McDaniel Dove and his nephew, Trent McDaniel.
Services will be held at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel on Wednesday, May 20th at 2 PM and visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in Jefferson memorial Gardens.
