Virginia Ruth Scoggins Virga (84) of Birmingham, was lifted home Monday July 15, 2013 to be with her brothers and sisters in the Kingdom of our Father. Services will be held at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel 2:00 P.M. Friday July 19, 2013 with visitation 1 hour prior at the funeral home. Virginia was a devoted wife to Vincent A. Virga (February 10, 1922 – December 27, 1997). Virginia is the mother of Sammy (Sandi), Frank, Vincent (Terri), Gerard (Denise), Michael and Kathryn. A Grand and Great Grandmother, Virginia loved the young at heart. In her later years, she served as a caregiver. Memorials may be made to Emmet O’Neal Library, Hoover Library and the Birmingham Museum of Art in celebration of the wonderful times Virginia and her caregiving son, Michael, shared.
