Victor (Vic) M. Edwards of Shannon passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at home. Mr. Edwards retired as a Lieutenant with The Birmingham Fire Department after serving his community for 35 years. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mrs. Ruth Edwards; a brother Bill Edwards; a sister Nyra Johnston; a son Tommy Edwards, Sr. two grandchildren: Tommy Edwards, Jr. and Vickie Edwards; and three great grandchildren. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2013 at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
