of Trussville, AL, passed away early Friday morning, surrounded by those who loved her, and will be dearly missed. Mrs. Davis was a wonderfully loving aunt, who treated her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children. She was a life long resident of Trussville, AL and a member of Deerfoot Baptist Church. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. John Cox; husband, James R. Davis; brothers, Malcom, Berlie, Floyd and Roy Cox; and sister, Annabel Self. She is survived by her sister, Bess Ruth Wadsworth; 11 nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews through to the fifth generation.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 20th at 3 p.m. at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery on Deerfoot Parkway. Visitation for Mrs. Davis will be on Sunday from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m.
