Thomas "Tommy" H. Sadler, Jr., 71, went home to be with the Lord on January 26, 2021. He was born on July 17, 1949 in Bessemer, Alabama. Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Havron Sadler, Sr. and Odessa Gunnin Sadler. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Sadler; son, Thomas Ryan Sadler; daughter, Lesley Letson (Christopher Marsh); four grandsons, Murphy, Jack, Eli, and Gus; and many good friends.
Tommy's family was one of the founding families of Bessemer. One of the family homes is still near Tannehill State Park. He owned his own performance racing engine business, Competition Engines, for almost 50 years. Tommy was known to be a very giving person, who was willing to help others when he could.
A celebration of life service will be held graveside on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 11am. Friends are invited to share their fond memories with Tommy during the service.
