Stacey graduated from W.A. Berry High School in Hoover, and later attended and graduated from Auburn University. She was an insurance adjuster for Allstate for many years, but spent the majority of her career in banking, which was her passion.
Stacey was the very best mother, grandmother, and friend to those who had the honor of knowing her. She had the biggest heart and always thought of others before herself. Stacey was beautiful inside and out. Knowing her was a joy.
Most of her free time was spent with her children, Chelsey and Chad; as well as her grandchildren, Liam, Hana, and Noah. Being a “Mimi” to her grandchildren was her greatest joy in life.
She loved Auburn football and watched them on TV each week. Stacey was an avid reader who never went anywhere without her Kindle. She was a lover of music, especially Fleetwood Mac and Taylor Swift. The beach was her happy place. She loved shopping. It didn’t matter what it was she could out shop anyone. She adored her two precious cats, Billy and Bob.
Stacey was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Dorothy Mauldin; and grandparents, Lee and Ruth Mauldin. She leaves behind to cherish many memories together her children, Chelsey Abdulla (Feras) and Chad Ducote; her grandchildren, Liam, Hana, and Noah Abdulla; brother, Brent Mauldin; and numerous friends.
The family will host a visitation on Monday, December 23, 2024 from 1pm until 2pm at Johns Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel Funeral home in the Celebration Chapel. A celebration of Stacey’s life will follow at 2 pm. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved grandmother in Elmwood Cemetery.
Stacey was loved by so many and will be truly missed.
