Sherri C. Buchanan

Buchanan, Sherri, age 53 of Pinson, AL passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012. Sherri was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend who will be missed greatly. Her passion was scrapbooking, all kinds of crafts, and anything that involved her family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pinson for the past 10 years and First Baptist Church of Center Point for over 30 years. Sherri graduated from Hewitt Trussville High School. She is survived by her husband Ken Buchanan, and had just celebrated their 25th Anniversary Tuesday; her son, Allan Buchanan (Roxanna); and her daughter, Sara Buchanan; brother, Mark Chandler (Angela);parents, Norris and Ann Chandler; mother-in-law Betty Buchanan; brother-in-law, Allen Buchanan (Sharon); and sister-in-law, Cindy VanHeiden (Keith); and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Karen Denise Chandler; grandparents, T.E. and Bettie Barnes and Odis and Annie Chandler; uncles, Thomas Joel “Joe” Barnes, Johnny Banks Barnes, and her father-in-law, Thomas Glenn Buchanan.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 16th at First Baptist Church of Pinson at 12 Noon with visitation from 10 AM until service time. Burial will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Pinson. Rev. David Awtrey and Rev. Bobby Earls will officiate the services.
