Sharron Ogletree Mitchell, 53, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, June 27th, 2024. Sharron was born in Elizabethtown, Kentucky on June 14th, 1971, to James Dewit Ogletree and Barbara Ann Burt. They then moved to Hoover, Alabama where she was raised. She is survived by her two daughters Jamie Mitchell Anderson and Jenna Mitchell of Birmingham, Alabama.
Sharron graduated from W.A. Berry High School in Hoover, Alabama and received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Sharron taught middle school history before deciding to stay at home to raise her daughters. Sharron was a wonderful mother who devoted her time to raising her girls. After being a devoted stay-at-home mom, she pursued a career in office management at a brick distributor. During her time there, she formed strong bonds with her coworkers and clients. At the time of her passing she was employed with Southern Clay Brick in Birmingham, Alabama.
She was known for her big smile and contagious laugh. Sharron was a kind and caring person who was a friend to everyone she met. Sharron was an avid reader. She loved to spend her time enjoying the fresh air and sun. Sharron was a devout Christian, who loved the Lord dearly. At the time of her passing, she had a close relationship with the Lord.
She is preceded in death by her parents. In addition to her daughters, Jamie (husband, Mitchell Anderson) and Jenna (fiancé, Austin Patterson), she is survived by her stepmother Terri Ogletree, brother Jimi Ogletree, aunt Tracy Kuhn, two nieces Marley Ogletree and Macy Ogletree, and many loved cousins, special family members, and friends.
A visitation with Sharron’s family will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Elmwood Chapel, 800 Dennison Ave Sw, Birmingham, AL 35211, followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 AM.
Sharron was loved by many, she will be dearly missed and will always be loved.
