Sarah Shahid passed away Thursday April 23, 2015 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond G. Shahid and brother Joe Pilato. She is survived by her children Mary G. Ferguson (Mark), Donna B. Marsh (Steve), and Ray Shahid, Jr. (Jackie); grandchildren Sarah M. Tyler (Travis), Max Granger, Shane Bates (Sonya), Ginger Boland (Jeff), Scott Bates (Tamera), and Martha M. Shahid; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother Sam Pilato; sister Virginia Crapet (Johnny); and many nieces and nephews. The family extends a special thank you to her loving care givers in the end Becky Rowland and Tiffany Palmer Hardin. Sarah was a loving mother and long standing member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Visitation will be 1:00 PM Sunday, April 26, 2015, at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM.
