Mrs. Long graduated from Huffman High School in 1971. She graduated from Samford University in 1978. She then went to work for Alagasco in 1979 and was still employed, at the time of her passing. Sara married her high school sweetheart, William “Tim” Long on April 26, 1980.
She is preceded in death by her father, Roy H. Lindsay.
She is survived by, her husband, of nearly 35 years, William “Tim” Long; children, Jennifer Ann Williams (Adam) and Wayne Thomaston Long; granddaughter, Katherine Ruth Williams; mother, Arsula Ruth Lindsay; brother, Jerry Wayne Lindsay; sister, Dale Lindsay Scott; niece, Lindsay England.
A Celebration of Sara’s Life will be Saturday, January 31st at 11:00 a.m. at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. before the service.
