Ruth Frances Pennington

PENNINGTON, RUTH FRANCES age 85, of Birmingham passed away March 12, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Will T. Pennington. She was a member of Cullman Church of Christ and was retired from Birmingham Board of Education. She is survived by her children Larry (Shirley)of Pleasant Grove, Alabama, Joan Parker (Steve), of Sylvan Springs, Alabama, Steve (Diana) of Herculaneum, Missouri, Carol Rutherford of Hueytown, Alabama, Wanda Kirk of Montgomery, Alabama, and Rosemary Rigdon of Milon, Indiana; one sister, Carolyn Bailey of Grand Haven, Michigan; twelve grandchildren, Taylor, Jesse, Shelly, Britney, Nick, Stacey, Ryan, Kevin, Kraig, Amanda, Nikki, and Michael; and two great-grandchildren, Tyleigh and Rylie. The family would like to thank Beverly Milhous for the loving care of their mother. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 16, 2011 beginning at 11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Kirk and Brian Unkenholz., and grandsons, Kevin, Taylor, Michael, and Nick.
