Roy C. Giles

Roy graduated from Philips High School and entered the United States Air Force. He served as an Intelligence Operative Technician and as an Airfield Management Specialist. He was awarded several medals and ribbons for his service. He retired from the Air Force with Honorable Discharge.

Roy later entered the workforce at several Radio Shack Company in management and later in management with Securitas with Wells Fargo. In his younger years, he loved DJing. Roy loved all things dealing with computers. He was very computer savvy. He also loved airplanes, fishing, music, cameras, and photography.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Ann Ruth Giles and Alfred A. Giles.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 32 years, Diane Giles; son, Mathew; daughters, Stephanie, Cyndi, Melissa, and their respective families; sister, Bonnie; brother, Curtis; 6 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

A visitation for Roy will be held Thursday, March 24, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel, 1500 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235, followed by a celebration of life memorial service at 7:00 PM.
