Ronald "Ronnie" Clayton Gilbert Sr., age 77, of Brierfield, Alabama passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023. Ronnie was born August 4, 1946. He was preceded in death by his aunt and uncle who raised him, Beatrice and Nick Tedeski, and 8 brothers and sisters. Ronnie is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Gilbert; sons, Ronnie Gilbert and Nick Gilbert; daughters, Tammy Gilbert and Tammy Ellis; grandchildren, Brandon (Kristina), Clay, and Rhonda (Brad); 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Rose Reeves and Kathleen Parker; and a host of family and friends.
A visitation for Ronald will be held Monday, December 18, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Johns-Ridout's Mortuary-Elmwood Chapel, 800 Dennison Ave Sw, Birmingham, AL 35211, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
