Roger Carlton Sims

Roger Carlton Sims, age 64, of Vestavia Hills, Alabama passed away on Monday September 3, 2018. Roger was born May 28, 1954. Roger served in the Air Force as an Airman First Class. He loved country music and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Lila Sims. He is survived by his son, Jason Sims; daughter April Crump (Justin); brother, Steve Sims (Mary); sister, Madrene Pardue; aunt, Hilda McDowell; nephew, Shane Pardue; three grandsons and many other relatives and friends. A visitation for Roger will be held Friday, September 7, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Johns-Ridout's Mortuary-Elmwood Chapel, 800 Dennison Ave Sw, Birmingham, AL 35211. A graveside service & burial will occur Friday, September 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Elmwood Cemetery & Mausoleum, 600 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. S.W., Birmingham, AL 35211.
