Roby Bedford Sr.

Oct 13, 1937 - Dec. 13, 2014 Roby L. Bedford, Sr., of Mentone, Alabama, age 77, passed away after a brief illness. He was the best brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend that anyone could have ever wished for. He will be missed terribly. He was predeceased by his parents Robie I. (Happy) Bedford and Eleanor Whatley Bedford, his brother-in-law Ronnie Bryan and the love of his life, his wife for over 51 years, Jane Dewyer Bedford, who just passed away this past September 18, 2014. He is survived by his siblings – his identical twin brother, Rony M. Bedford, Sr. (Jean) and his baby sister Linda B. Bryan; his children – Trent DeFlora (Scott) of Pelham, Roby L. Bedford, Jr. (Connie) of Birmingham, and Tiffany Jaramillo (Jose'-Luis) of Davie, Florida; his grandchildren – Ashley DeFlora, Alex DeFlora, Brandon Bedford, Bridget Bedford, Nikki Bedford, Casey Deerman, Matias Jaramillo and Kate Jaramillo; his niece – Donna C. Brian; his nephews Ron M. Bedford, Jr., Bart C. Bedford (Carolyn), and Clint E. Bryan (Lauren); one great-nephew and four great-nieces. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM with a funeral service to follow from 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM at Johns-Ridout's Elmwood Chapel on Dennison Avenue S.W.
