I just heard.
Riley was a true friend. I will always remember his laugh and unbelieveable skill behind a kit. Rest easy little brother. Keep Kurt on the downbeat and Jimi on the off-beat.

I dont know when a mother's heart will stop aching for her beloved son and when a sister will stop weeping for her brother. While all consuming, your grief is most surely not selfish as it is the reflection of the depth of your love and hurt in your heart because you unselfishly cared so much. My prayers for a blanket of comfort that will find you all. May God hear your prayers and may you feel that He hears you. May Riley's Wings gently touch and console you.

It's been two weeks, my heart is aching still. It's 1:40am and Riley is on my mind. My daughter weeps silently, without ceasing. It only takes a moment to make an everlasting
 impression. As humans, we are selfish, praying for God to ease the pain for all of us....

Dear family and friends,

As a friend of a friend, I wanted to express my sincere condolences to those of you who knew and loved Riley.

Since my Mother's passing I have come to realize much more clearly that the reality of Heaven is just as much a matter of our basic Christian faith as our belief in the existence of God and Christ. 

If we say we believe in Christ, we must believe that what He has told us is true about life after death in Heaven for all true believers. 

In light of Heaven's actual existence and sure rewards, we can be happy for our loved ones' gain, those who trusted in Jesus Christ, despite the sadness of our loss, and greatly comforted by looking forward to our reunion relatively soon with all those in the Lord who have gone on before us. 

May God bless and comfort us as we put our full faith and trust in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the God of our fathers and mothers.

Margaret, T. O., and Mary Margaret, words cannot express how sad I am about the tragedy which has occurred.  It is a great loss and Riley will be missed so much.  My heart is breaking for your family.

Dear Margaret, my heart breaks for your devastating  loss in this tragedy. I fondly remember Riley, the cute little boy with an impish grin and sweet way. I celebrate his successes in life and see how your guidance led his path toward dreams fulfilled and notable achievements. I know your pride in him and love for him will feel his spirit always. I remember Riley fondly from little league baseball at Cahaba Heights. My son Dalton played on a team with him and they went to Shades Valley together. Dalton has been very saddened over the news of his death.  Our sincere sympathies are with all of you. May you find peace in your memories of him and that he is your angel in heaven.

Riley will forever remain in my heart. He was a genuinely sweet person and his sense of humor could bring joy to anyone. Riley was a gift from God, and now God has sent for his angel. He was a great friend & Co-worker. Although its hard losing Riley, I'm at peace that he is in a better place.

Riley was an upstanding individual and was always a positive influence in the house. Not only was Riley a strong member of the chapter while in school but he also was a member of the drumline in The Million Dollar Band. I think it's safe to say that he beat to the sound of his on drum. After school, Riley took a job in Birmingham with Wells Fargo and over the past two years, he was not only making a good name for himself but the fraternity as well. Riley embodied all of the pillars with which our house was built upon and was always a true man of character and a great ambassador for AKL. May we always remember the good times that we shared with him and appreciate the time the we did have here with him. -Alpha Kappa Lambda Fraternity

Ran and I will miss "our" Riley so much.  His gentle and loving presence and that grin would put everyone at ease.  Riley's sense of humor kept us laughing.  Riley was a joy to be with always and such a fun and gracious participant in life.
