Robert Byron Pass, Sr., 81, passed away on May 12, 2023 with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Byron Jackson Pass and Marguerite Clark Pass. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Kathryn Lother Pass; children, Jennifer Pass Layton and Robert Byron Pass, Jr. (Cathrine); granddaughter, Jorja Layton; and his best friend and caretaker, Kristie Hollis.
Bob loved his family, but the apple of his eye was his granddaughter, Jorja, whom he loved sometimes more than his children. He loved to fly and fish. He owned his own business for many years.
There will be a graveside service to celebrate Bob’s life on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 11 am at Birmingham’s historic Elmwood Cemetery in block 24. Attendees are requested to come to Elmwood Chapel at 800 Dennison Ave SW, Birmingham, AL 35211 by 10:40 am to go in procession to the graveside.
