Hood, Robert Joseph, age 83 of Pinson, AL passed away on June 13, 2013. He was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the U.S. Marines and was retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a member of the 25th Avenue Baptist Church in Center Point, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick J. and Hattie Hood; 1 brother and 3 sisters. Robert is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joy Smith Hood; son, Bob (Teresa) Hood; daughter, Patti Hood; grandson, Chase Hamaker; sister, Helen Bishop. Officiating will be Bro. Otis Epps. Visitation will be Sunday, June 16, 2013 from 5 PM until 7 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Funeral service will be Monday, June 17, 2013 at 12 Noon at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
