Born 8th of 10 children in Fairfield, Alabama on November 6, 1931 to Steve Estock and Mary Kurtts Estock.
Proceeded in death by his wife Patricia Highfield Estock and his parents. He is survived by his children Robert Christopher Estock, Melissa Irene Estock and Jennifer Estock Borja (Jeffrey); grandchildren, Luke and Camille Borja and many other relatives and friends.
Robert attended Fairfield High School and went on to graduate from Birmingham Southern College, where he was President of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He then received a Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Alabama School of Medicine. After which, Robert interned at Lloyd Nolan Hospital. As a Captain in the US Air Force, he was stationed at Goose Bay, Labrador and Hunter Air Force Base in Savannah, Georgia.
Robert was on staff at The University of Alabama Birmingham Department of Psychiatry for many years. He was also a co-founder of Alabama Psychiatric Services.
He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Hoover, Alabama where he served in many capacities. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family.
The family will announce a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent in Robert’s name to The American Cancer Society.
