Robert Henry Creel, 69, of Bluff Park, AL has made his way to the Lord on Monday, July 29th, 2019 surrounded by those he held dearest. A graduate of Berry High School, he pursued further studies at Auburn University and then received a Master’s in Business at the University of Alabama. He then enlisted for 2 years in the Army, where he was sent to Anchorage, AK to work in a missile silo. He came back to Alabama to receive a JD at the Cumberland School of Law and then met his wife of 38 years, Rebecca Rollins Creel, in Hamilton, AL. He is survived by her, their oldest son and favorite daughter-in-law John Robert Creel (Abby Creel) and their seven children Ezra, Rhema, Mercy, Silas, Eunoch, Zadoch, and Zion, and survived by their youngest son Austin Wade Creel.
“Bobby” had a vivacious spirit, one that touched the lives of many friends and family around him. He had many joys in life that he shared with all who encountered him, whether it be his love of hunting and the outdoors, his love of people throughout the many social gatherings he would attend, or his love of giving back to the less fortunate through his volunteer service. He imparted that joy of life to his family as he watched his grandchildren grow during the waning years of his vibrant life.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 7th, 2019 at 11:30AM at the Fellowship Hall at St. Mark United Methodist Church in Vestavia, AL followed by a Memorial Service in the St. Mark Sanctuary at 1PM.
In lieu of flowers send donations to St. Mark Methodist’s Nurture Committee or McCoy Adult Daycare
