She was a graduate of John Carroll High School and retired from State Farm Insurance Company. Rebecca, also known as Aunt B, was an avid square dancer, country music enthusiast, and passionate QVC shopper. From her kitchen came many delicious meals, especially desserts. Her Oatmeal Cake was legendary. She possessed a spirit of generosity that was unsurpassed. She tenderly and unfailingly cared for her ailing mother, sister, and brother-in-law during their last days on this earth. Her joy was her family.
She personified her name, Faith, in the manner in which she lived her life. She was a longtime member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and attended faithfully. The family would like to thank Denise Miller, her companion and caregiver of many years; Home Instead Senior Caregivers Sedra Thompson, Josephine Johnson, LaQuanda Murphy, and Sharon Levert; and Comfort Care Hospice.
Family will receive friends Thursday January 17, 2019 from 5:30 – 7:00 PM with a rosary service starting at 7:00 PM at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel. Funeral Mass will be Friday January 18, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
