Moman, Phillip Alan, age 63 of Trussville, Al., passed away Sunday March 18, 2012. Phillip was preceded in death by his father, Austin L. Moman, Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of over 33 years, Deborah Smith Moman; a daughter, Alanna Moman- Rawden (Cole) of Fairhope, Al; 2 sons, Matthew Moman (Monica) of Dallas, Texas and Daniel Moman of Trussville; his mother, Elouise Robbins Moman of Cullman, Al; 2 brothers, Austin “Mickey” L. Moman, Jr. (Janice) of Birmingham, and Kenneth P. Moman of Cullman, Al; a sister, Robin Moman Franks of Cullman, Al; and his 2 grandchildren, Emory Kate Golson and Sophie Belle Rawden, both of Fairhope, Al.
Phillip was a graduate of Ensley High School. He served in the US Navy and was a veteran of the Viet Nam War as a E-5 Torpedo man. Phillip will always be loved and remembered as a hard worker who enjoyed what he did. What he really loved the most was fishing, Alabama Crimson Tide football, and spending as much time with his family as he could, especially his granddaughters.
Visitation will be Wednesday night, March 21, 2012 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel from 5 until 7 PM with funeral services Thursday at 12:00 Noon in the chapel. Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
