Patricia Ann Hubbard

Pat is survived by her daughter, Janice Hubbard (Missy), son, Robert Hubbard (Karen), and son, Richard Hubbard (Joyce). She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph F. Hubbard, son, Rudolph F. Hubbard, Jr., son, Russelle L. Hubbard, and granddaughter, Katelyn Hubbard. She leaves behind five grandchildren – Meghan McClung (Brian), Eric Hubbard (Claire), Kelsey Miller (Jake), Katrina Smith (Raymond), and Steven Hollis. She was also blessed with several great-grandchildren.

Pat was born on March 7, 1932, in Birmingham, AL to Louise and Yeatman Daniel. She graduated from Phillips High School and attended Birmingham Southern College until she married Rudolph Hubbard in 1956. They eventually settled and raised their family in Midfield, AL. She attended Central Park Methodist church and taught pre-school at Grace Covenant and ABC Learning center in Midfield. She also worked for 18 years with Wal-Mart and 10 years at First Baptist Church in Alabaster, AL when they moved there in 1996.

Pat enjoyed gardening, teaching, and antiques but her most treasured roles in life were those of mother and grandmother, and she excelled at both. She looked forward to the holidays and every family get-together, where games and good food were plentiful. Pat doted on her grandchildren and always made each one feel special and loved.

Visitation will be on September 5th at 1:00 pm at Johns-Rideout’s Mortuary-Elwood Chapel in Birmingham. Funeral services will start at 2:00 pm with a graveside service immediately following at Elmwood cemetery.
