Nora Anntoinette Gray Pierce

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, C. V. Pierce; and son, Frank Rayburn Pierce.

She is survived by her son, Claude Tim Pierce, wife Patricia of Foley, AL; grandchildren, Tim Pierce Jr. (Renee) of Trussville, AL, Casey Pierce of Trussville, AL, Christy Pierce Skinner (David) of LaGrange, GA, Brian Pierce of New York, NY, Mike Pierce of CT, Frank Pierce, Jr. of Daphne, AL; 12 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Nora was born on January 10, 1928 to Claude and Annie Dickerson Gray with 7 siblings. Born and raised in the Avondale Mill Village. She attended Cunningham School and was a longtime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She married C. V. Pierce on Dec. 1, 1945. They resided in Eastwood projects, then moved to Roebuck before retiring to Lake Martin. She has lived in Foley for the last 8 years to be close to her son Tim Pierce.

A visitation for Nora will be held Friday, January 12, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel, 1500 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235. Following the visitation will be a graveside at 11:00 AM at Forest Crest Cemetery, 5730 US 78, Birmingham, AL 35210.
