Nell Louise Ray

RAY, NELL LOUISE Ray, Nell Louise 84, loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away October 17, 2010 at the home of her daughter in Chattanooga, TN Nell and her husband were founding members of Clearview Baptist Church in Pinson, AL. Nell was preceded in death by her husband, Cephas Ray; granddaughter Allison Ray; parents Tom and Martha Smith; brothers Jack and Owen Smith and sisters Tommie Ponter and Ruby Bynum. Nell is survived by two sons, Jerry (Kathoise) Ray, Cohutta, GA and Phillip (Terri) Ray, Birmingham, AL and one daughter Sandra (Don) McArthur, Chattanooga, TN. Five grandchildren, Jessica Ray, Durham, NC; Nathan Ray, Athens, GA; Nick Ray, Cohutta, GA; Nicole (Sam) Ballas, Austin, TX and Andrew Ray, Birmingham, AL. One great grandchild, Marley Ray, Athens, GA and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Tuesday October 19, 2010 at Ridout's Trussville Chapel with burial at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Monday October 18, 2010 at the funeral
