KIMBROUGH, NATHANIEL DUKE III, age 62 of Birmingham, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Shirley Giattina Kimbrough; son, Ryan Kimbrough (Megan Cordero); daughter, Christa Kimbrough; sister, Kay Kimbrough; brother-in-law, Doug Giattina; sister-in-law, Mary Bittles; and grandchildren, Jacob and Nathan Kimbrough. Duke served in the U.S. Army achieving the rank of Sergeant as an Abrams Tank Commander and Recruiter. He was employed by Gunter Oil as Station Manager of the Shell Station in Trussville. Duke was a member of The Healing Place Church. He traveled the world and visited every continent but one. His family will receive friends on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 5-7 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. His service will be at the chapel on Friday, February 9, 2018 beginning at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Valhalla Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alabama Oncology or the Cancer Treatment Center at St. Vincent's East.
