Nancy Moore Williams, 51, passed away on July 20, 2013 after a brave and hard fought battle with cancer. Welcomed to the world by her parents, Haley and Nan Moore, on May 16, 1962, Nancy was Birmingham born and raised. She attended W.A. Berry High School in Hoover, where she met her future husband, David Williams. The high school sweethearts attended The University of Alabama where David played football for Bear Bryant. Nancy and David were the parents of three wonderful daughters to whom Nancy was totally devoted. An avid painter, she adored being in the sun and any activity involving her girls. Nancy was an active member of Church of the Highlands, taking pleasure in the small group meetings and Bible study. Nancy worked for AT&T for 28 years as a billing supervisor. To cherish her memory, Nancy is survived by her daughters, Haley, Lauren, and Peyton Williams; her mother, Nan; brothers Stephen, Scott, and Christian Moore and their wives; loving nieces and nephews and her in-laws, Don and Mary Lynne Williams. Nancy was proceeded in death by her husband of 28 years, David, and her father Haley Moore. The family gratefully appreciates everyone's support and love during this time of heartache. Services will be Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Elmwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent in Nancy's memory to the Nancy Moore Williams Cancer Benefit Fund at Regions Bank.
