Nancy was born in Birmingham but made a life for herself in New York more than 40 years ago. Even though she became a New Yorker through and through, she remained a loyal University of Alabama football fan. She worked for over 30 years as a nutritionist at Lenox Hill Hospital. Early in her career, she advised the New York Knicks on nutritional matters. She loved to travel and loved all animals, especially dogs. Her father, John Henry Jacobson, was a well-regarded artist in the Birmingham community. John was Nancy's hero. Nancy was preceded in death by her sister, Susan Mary Jacobson, her mother, Ann Smolian Jacobson, and her father, John Henry Jacobson. Contributions to the Birmingham Humane Society or other animal rescue organizations in Nancy's memory would be appreciated.
