Joy Sisk, age 81, of Leeds, Alabama, passed away on September 3, 2023. Joy was born on October 1, 1941, to V.H. and Frances Glenn. Joy is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Wilford C. Sisk. Joy is also survived by her sons, Glenn (Bethany Carmack) and Scott (Renee Clevinger Sisk); granddaughters, Taylor and Sophie Sisk; and sister, Kay G. Channell.
To know Joy was to love her with her contagious smile and servant spirit. She deeply valued her faith and instilled that in her family. Joy loved her time with her family always, but most especially around birthdays and holidays. She was never bashful about offering a War Eagle from time to time which was not always repeated by her soulmate, but always respected. Joy enjoyed a long tenure at Irondale Jr. High School where she devoted her career to the success of students, faculty and administrators alike. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
