Michael N. Renda

Michael Norman Renda, age 78 of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020. Mike was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many and will be greatly missed. He served his country proudly as a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mike was in the insurance business for more than 50 years and owned Mike Renda Insurance Agency where he was awarded many accommodations for serving his customers and providing them with his personal attention. He was a true outdoorsman and an avid hunter, he also loved Alabama football and the New Orleans Saints. One of his most-prized possessions was having his picture made with Drew Brees. Mike was a faithful and dedicated member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church where he served his Lord in many capacities. He was very active with the Knights of Columbus, Serra Club, and always there to help families in need.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Nick and Vincent Renda; a brother, G-Nick Renda; sisters, Anna Hudecz and Antoniette Renda. He is survived by sons, Mark Renda (Wendy) and Matthew Renda (Linda); his daughter, Michelle Renda-Lindley (Neal); brothers, Carmelo Renda, David Renda, and Thomas Renda; a sister, Rosemary Gagliano; grandchildren, Michael, Joseph, Christopher, Taylor, Catherine, Danielle, Jonah, Jacob, Allison, Noah, and Brandon; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
